A LETTER FROM OUR SINGLES MINISTRY PRESIDENT
Our Mission: To develop a community of Singles who will discover and embrace God’s purpose for their lives during their Season of Singleness.
Scripture: Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. Philippians 4:11
Thank you for your interest in Ecclesia’s Single Ministry!
One of every two adults who walks through our church doors are single or single-again. Some have never been married, while others are divorced, widowed or single parents. It is estimated that 97 million adults, approximately 44% of all adults in our country are single by chance, change or choice or someone else’s choice.
Many churches are primarily marriage or family focused, but here at Ecclesia, we are intentional about connecting our single adults to the local church body. Some single adults come seeking direction, encouragement and hope. In these instances, we strive to help them become whole by meeting their practical, personal and spiritual needs. We understand that marriage doesn’t make a person whole or mature; only the Lord does. Others come ready to serve and we recognize that they are an asset to our ministry and that their boundless talents can strengthen and help our church.
Jesus, the greatest single adult who ever lived showed the impact a single adult could make in this world. He gave of himself for the church and He promised us that if we would believe on Him, we would do even greater works.
I’d like to take this opportunity to personally invite you to join Ecclesia’s community of Singles. We meet once a month—typically on the second Fridays—for a time of fellowship, food, and fun! Our meetings are Christ centered with emphasis on the single individual, divorce recovery, widowed and single parenting.
We hope you will consider joining us and please-feel free to bring a friend!
May God Bless You,
Evangelist Stephanie Abney-Plummer
